It Just Got Weirder! Like the Astro Twins stated: Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any weirder or more intense, well, um, October happens.
For starters, October is a “once in a blue moon” month, because it will be bookended by TWO full moons. The first one happened on October 1 in fiery Aries, which lit up the the skies, charging into the month like a headstrong Ram. The second full moon will be happening on Halloween on October 31 in Taurus, astride changemaker Uranus at an exact degree. Who needs a costume? With the full moon and disruptor Uranus in the radically-real sign of the Bull, we’ll be treated to an eyeful—and a sky full—of intense energy. Who needs a costume and a mask? With Taurus, what you see is what you get, and in the spotlight of the full moon, that could be a whole lotta in-your-face energy, mixed with curveball plot twists served up by Uranus. Apparently, you need to take things as slow and steady as you can. When chaos is in the air, the best thing you can do sometimes is either ease off the gas or even stand still.
All in all, October is going to be a groundbreaking time: we are entering an intense month, filled with changes, unexpected experiences, and ongoing inner work. During this groundbreaking period, we will be encouraged to look back, reevaluate the approach we chose and the path we embarked upon. Many of us will feel inspired to make different choices, as we will have the chance to understand the real motives behind what we did in the past. In any case, this is a month where we are going to realize that we need to somehow keep moving forward, although there will be the necessity of restructuring and reviewing our priorities along the way.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mercury—the planet that rules technology, communication and the postal system—will turn retrograde for the last time in 2020 starting on October 13 and, ominously, ending on November 3 — Election Day, splitting his backspin between Scorpio and Libra. As you may already be aware, Mercury retrograde is known to wreak havoc and bring confusion to all. Retrogrades are a time for the three Rs: Review, Reflect, and Reassess.
Even Mars is in retrograde, and closer to Earth in October than it will be for another 15 years. A fiery red star close to the full moon is actually Mars shining its bright red light in the night sky. Mars retrograde, in particular, may cause the sensation that something is slowing us down, affecting our ability to take initiative and immediate action.
And so, thanks to the advise of my personal Astrologer Jess @sweetnevermind, and the research I have just done, I am actually glad that I decided to "go to HEL" (Helsinki) for this insane retrograde period. So I guess, it's time to buckle up for one last wild ride. I shall see you on the other side of this crazy/beautiful world!
xoxo,
Kiti
