What goes around comes around. WELCOME!

Fresh air

You don't need an astrologer to let you know that 2020 has been quite a phenomenon so far - but if you consulted the stars, then you probably had a heads up because the astrology of 2020 delivered a whole bunch of rare and life-altering planetary aspects and transits that were bound to change our personal lives and the foundation of our society at large. And so far, this has most definitely been the case, from the coronavirus pandemic to the mass protests and civil uprisings against systemic racism. The first half of the year served up an intense Capricorn stellium, some life-altering eclipses, and a barrage of disorienting planetary retrogrades, among other rare and significant aspects between the planets.

This December of 2020, a total solar (new moon) eclipse will arrive in Sagittarius on December 14th that’s going to shake up the communication, meaning information and disinformation between now and early 2022. We are also in for the beginning of a new age, as Jupiter and Saturn (which are known as the greater benefic and greater malefic planets, respectively) will be aligning in the sign of Aquarius (whose element is actually air!) for the first time in nearly 400 years, for the next 150 years. Both Jupiter and Saturn represent social issues in our lives and relate to authority and leadership, and they only form a conjunction aspect every couple decades - so when they do, it's a big deal, which is why it's known as a Great Conjunction.

Saturn is called "The Lord of KARMA". It is the planet for restrictions, discipline, delay, and life lessons. It’s here to help us understand that life’s lessons are not meant as punishment, but as learning. So especially now, Saturn asks you to be disciplined and take authority over your life. This the wake-up call you need in order to become the brightest and best version of yourself.

The energy that these two planets will express through an air sign like Aquarius differs greatly from the traditional and authoritative vibe they brought forth in earthy Capricorn, which is the sign they resided in during the start of the year. Air signs represent intellect and ideas, and Aquarius is the sign of innovation, technology, intellectual developments and revolution. While this alignment is unarguably going to be intense, the Aquarian focus on collective well-being, logical thought, and innovative growth feels like a breath of fresh air - and it could deliver some much-needed glimmers of hope for the future.

The element of Air gives us room to breathe, widens our lungs, and with them, opens our Soul to personal freedom. All signs that belong to this element (other signs are Gemini and Libra) have a strong need to feel liberated and free. This is the element that connects all other elements, even though it might seem less relevant, invisible as it is. The distance from the nature of Earth lifts us up high, in impractical and mental planes that don’t satisfy our physical needs. Still, this is the element that can be found in all others, it keeps the fire going just like the Sun burns hydrogen. We may say that the beginning of life wouldn’t be possible without Fire, but there would be no Fire on our planet without Air.

To make it to this phase of the airy Aquarian age that many of us hold the vision for, we need to see science and spirituality collaborate. They'll need to come together in order for us to adopt and enjoy a balanced and sustainable way of life. For many, your mission in this life (should you choose to accept it) will be further activated as the dust settles. For some, this process has already started. As we work on putting our energy into what matters to us, we also use this time to refine our process. Heck, some of us have to begin from scratch, creating more uncertainty. But we are humans - we are adaptable, capable, and creatively intelligent. We must sit with information and move through it at the pace that feels right to us according to our intuition. Much of the fear we are feeling is around uncertainty, so remember: knowledge is clarity. There is always a silver lining and a blessing in disguise.

Whenever you get too in your head about your own situation, it’s beneficial to look and see who around you may need your help. Social distancing practices may make this challenging right now. However, with that creativity and innovation, so many of us are already finding alternatives to the way things used to be. And especially by taking care of yourself during these uncertain times, you are doing a lot of the 'getting ready' work, and that is the important groundwork. So trust your intuition and inner guidance. This is all meant to be somehow.

Kiti
